Since the end of 2016, the SeARCH cluster has included a node with an Intel Xeon Phi Knights Landing (KNL) processor, the second generation of Intel’s MIC (Many Integrated Core) architecture.
Specifically, this node is configured with a Xeon Phi 7210 — a bootable host processor — with 64 cores, a base frequency of 1.30 GHz, 192 GB of RAM, and running CentOS 7.2, the minimum operating system version required to support this processor.
