In September 2017, four nodes with Xeon Broadwell processors were installed. Two of these nodes are equipped with two E5-2683v4 processors and 256 GB of RAM, while the other two have two E5-2660v4 processors and 128 GB of RAM.

Three of these nodes were funded by the Center of Biological Engineering (CEB), and the other node was funded by the Institute for Polymers and Composites (IPC) — both research centers at the University of Minho.
